What Are your Goals for 2021?

What are your Goals for this New Year??

What do you have planned out for this year…?

Even as you think about the answer to this, I would like to invite you to surrender.
Surrender it to God.

Wait, what?
Surrender?
The goals I have planned for the entire year, I give them up, just like that?

Yes sis…
Surrender
God is calling us to Surrender all of us: our minds, hearts and our goals for this year.

And I don’t want you to view it in a negative light, but consider this: surrender means laying it all down in the hands of the one who is Lord of all.

Giving up the struggle.

Giving up the control because He is in control of it all.

Proverbs 16: 9 says that a man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.

You may have set out and planned your year, but does God want to do in your life this year?
What are His plans for your life, academics, relationships?

I hear God saying that he wants to work on us as ladies this year.
That he wants to work on you sis.
That there are things in your heart, in your closet that nobody knows about that he wants to work on.

I hear God saying that he wants His daughters to step out into their calling and into their purpose but there are certain things he must work on first.
There are somethings that are holding you back: be it pain, bitterness, a lack of identity – whatever it is!
That he wants to work on.

He wants to get to the root of those things and heal them.
He wants to prune you.

So will you let him, daughter of God?

Will you lay down your goals, your aspirations and take up what God’s goals are this year?

I invite you to spend time this week to surrender everything, seek God and ask Him what He wants to do in your life this year.

What may be in your heart that he wants to work on and heal.

Take your time.
Don’t rush.
When He prompts you to write something or He drops a thought in your mind or heart, take note of it.

Because at the end of it all, his plans for us are always good.
