The Waiting season.
A season that seems to be never-ending; it goes on and on and on…
The promise seems to be delayed. God seems to be taking his sweet time.
Days turn into weeks. Weeks into months and months into years and it finds you in the same place: in the waiting.
Patience is not a word that is pleasant to your ears.
Waiting is a process you resist with your entire being.
You lift your eyes to heaven, heart and prayers filled with despair, disappointment and just an ounce of hope as you ask God, “When?” and He replies with a calm and loving, “Wait…”
__________
This is me.
And this maybe you as well – waiting on God.
Waiting on God to come through for you: be it financially, be it to heal your disease, heal your brokenness or to a fulfil a promise or word that he gave you or your family.
Don’t throw in the towel.
Don’t give up on God.
Lift up your head, daughter of God and know that God is not a man that He should lie.
When God says He will do something, He will do it.
He is not a son of man that he passes around empty promises but he is God: Alpha & Omega, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and HE WILL DO that which He said He will do.
It may look like He doesn’t see your circumstance; that he doesn’t see the pain and the hurting; that he doesn’t see your desire to be in a godly relationship with the guy he has for you.
It may seem like He is silent: but honey your timetable isn’t God’s timetable.
Your timeline isn’t God’s.
And in order to avoid frustration and despair, you need to remember that.
You need to remember that God will do what he says he will do in his own time.
You need to remind your heart that He is faithful and you can put all your hope, your trust in him and when the days get tough and the season drags on he will be there to hold you and remind you that He is with you and all you gotta do is lean on Him.
When the days are long, remind yourself that the plans He has for you are for good and not for evil; to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). Remind your heart that even in the wait, God is good.
Even in the wait, God is Sovereign.
Even when the rain doesn’t fall, God is still good.
