Are you exhausted?
Physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally?
Are you weary?
Do you have a lot on your plate, a lot on your mind and it is overwhelming you and weighing in on you??
Take a step back, and just be still.
I know you’re thinking that you don’t have the time to do so, that you have so much to do that if you use 5 minutes of the time that you have, you won’t be able to complete that which you had planned to do.
But you need a break…you need to rest.
Take a breather.
Stop what you’re going for just 5 minutes and breathe.
I assure you your work won’t suffer; your grades won’t suffer.
Here, as you close your eyes and just breathe, experience the love of God washing over you.
The peace of God flooding your soul and you entire being, as you exhale the stress, the fatigue and you breathe in the calming presence of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved, we need to understand that rest is of God.
When you’re exhausted and tired – be it physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually that is a sign that you need to sit by the well that never runs dry.
You need to put down and put aside what is draining you and get refreshed.
Exchange our burden and our yoke for His because His is lighter and easier.
We have been fed the lie by the world and by the enemy that we need to be always busy. Always doing something. Always on the move. Always occupied.
But that is a lie so that he can rob you of your peace and sanity.
I want to encourage you today to slow down.
I am here to remind you that it’s okay to put things aside and take some time off for yourself.
There is no harm in doing so.
If this is you, exhausted, take time to be quiet.
To be still and sit at God’s feet and let him restore your strength, rejuvenate your spirit and refresh you.
You need it.
You deserve it.
You have come this far, and I am proud of you. God is proud of you.
So, allow yourself to rest and be rejuvenated.
